Ulaanbaatar, September 16, 2025 /MONTSAME/. DeMarcus Cousins, a member of the NBA All-Rookie First Team, four-time NBA All-star (2015-2018), FIBA World Cup, and the Rio 2016 Olympics Champion, announced on social media that he will once again play in Mongolia.

He will rejoin the “Selenge Bodons” and compete for the championship title. Last season, the team fell short of winning the league, and Cousins had previously expressed his intention to return, a promise that has now been fulfilled.

Upon departing, Cousins remarked: “To the loyal basketball fans of Mongolia, and especially to the supporters of the ‘Selenge Bodons.’ I would like to express my deepest gratitude. Although my time in Mongolia was brief, it left me with unforgettable memories. I came here to play the sport I love, but I also discovered a land filled with passionate people, a unique culture, and breathtaking landscapes. I have truly fallen in love with Mongolia, its people, its culture, and its spirit. Your love and support gave me great strength, and I will never forget the warmth with which you welcomed me as one of your own.

Representing the Bodons has been an honor for me. Every time I was on the court, I felt the energy, pride, encouragement, and love from the fans. These emotions will stay with me forever. I am also deeply thankful to my coach and teammates. I will not say goodbye, but rather ‘see you again.’ Mongolia will always be in my heart, and I will continue to speak proudly about this country and the league you have built here.

DeMarcus Cousins will play in the playoffs of the Mongolian Basketball Association National Premier League as a member of the “Selenge Bodons.”
