Mongolian Powerlifter Becomes Asian Champion

Ulaanbaatar, December 10, 2025 /MONTSAME/. International master of sports Nanzaddorj Erdenebold, a native of Khatantbulag, Dornogobi aimag, claimed gold at the Asian Masters and Open Equipped Powerlifting Championships, held on December 2-10, 2025, in Istanbul, Türkiye.
Competing
in the -59 kg category, Nanzaddorj reportedly lifted 250 kg
in the squat, 175 kg in the bench
press, and 242.5 kg in the
deadlift, for a combined total of 667.5 kg,
securing the title of Asian champion.
Nanzaddorj
began competing in powerlifting in 2020. He has previously won gold at national
championships and earned two bronze medals at world-level competitions. This
latest victory marks his first Asian championship title.
