Samsung Medical Center to send physicians to Mongolia
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ "Samsung Medical Center plans to send specialists to Mongolia in July this year who will work together with Mongolian physicians", said Lee Sang Chol, Chair of International Health Services of the Center during his meeting with D.Ochirbat, State Secretary of the Ministry of Health on January 23. He also asked the Mongolian Ministry of Health to engage in the activity.
Mr. Lee Sang Chol also talked about the cooperation between the two organizations based on two memorandums signed in 2011 and 2013.
The State Secretary appreciated the Samsung Medical Center’s cooperative efforts in enhancing human resource capacities of Mongolian health sector, training medical specialists and physicians and offering diverse medical services since 2011. He also acknowledged the Center’s cooperation with Mongolian National Cancer Center.
Mr. Lee Sang Chol mentioned that in 2012, 68 Mongolian doctors and medical practitioners attended a medical workshop at Samsung Medical Center and 48 in 2013-2016, expressing his intention to expand this cooperation. The meeting concluded as the sides expressed their stances and intentions to develop the existing cooperation.
Present at the meeting from Mongolian side were B.Narantuya, Director of Center for Health Development, Ts.Lkhagva, Director of Chingeltei district Health Center, and other officials from corresponding divisions and agencies.
