French delegates visiting to study supply of helicopter to NEMA

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On November 29, Major-General T.Badral, Head of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) met delegation led by Elisabeth Barsacq, Ambassador of the French Republic to Mongolia, Frederic Tisserand, Deputy General Manager of Sofema Group, and Marc Monju, Specialist in charge of helicopter.
Representatives of Sofema and Desotel Groups are visiting Mongolia to get acquainted with the NEMA activities, its equipment and facilities using for rescue and fire fighting operations and to finalize the project on supply of helicopter, fire engine and vehicles for rescue operations and emergency services.

Head of the NEMA T.Badral noted Mongolian government is maintaining policy to empower staffs of NEMA and provide opportunity to have helicopter. Also Mongolian people are contributing to fulfill this task. He expressed his gratitude to Government of France on accepting Mongolian proposal to supply helicopter to NEMA and sending team to study. He said “I am happy that first step has been made towards having own helicopter for rescue and research operations”.
The delegates will work in Mongolia until December 3.
