Mongolia wins gold in International Snow Sculpture Championships

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian artists won a gold medal at the International Snow Sculpture Championships being held in Denver, the United States on January 22-29.
16 teams from 12 countries partook in the 28th Championships, and team Mongolia, led by Ts.Munkh-Erdene, took gold medal home with their work called ‘Secret’. The winning team members include Kh.Altankhuu, B.Tsedevdorj and E.Uugantsetseg.
Moreover, another Mongolian team led by Ts.Batmunkh won the Artist Choice Award with their piece named ‘Time’. The silver medal went to China, last year’s winner and the bronze to the US – Wisconsin team.
Mongolia participated in the Championships for the sixth time this year. Last year, the two Mongolian teams claimed the Artist Choice Award together, thus taking the third place as a team in the annual Championships.
