Over 700 students skip their school due to heavy snowfall

In Uvurkhangai aimag because of high spread of influenza and influenza-like illness schools and kindergartens had been temporarily closed and reopened on 22nd of this month. But many students from Bat-Ulzii, Kharkhorin, Yesunzuil, Ulziit, Burd, Bayan-Undur, Nariinteel, Bayangol, Khairkhandulaan soums were unable to attend their schools and total school attendance is 69.4 percent.
Highest school absence occured in Bayan-Undur soum with 195 children missing. Aimag’s Department of Education and Culture contacted the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sciences and Sports to get directions on how to work in such circumstance.
