Kazakhs’ Nauryz holiday being celebrated

Ulaanbaatat /MONTSAME/ On the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Kazakhstan and Kazakhs’ Nauryz (Nowruz) holiday, a ceremony ‘Nauryz (Nowruz) – 2018’ took place in Ulaanbaatar on March 21.
The event was attended by Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city S.Batbold, former MP, State Honored Industrial Worker A.Tleikhan, former MP and Academician A.Bakei , Deputy Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry J.Saule, Sc.D and State Honored Cultural Figure M.Zulkafili, SC.D, State Honored Cultural Figure and Prize holder of the Union of Mongolian Writers T.Sultan and citizens of Kazakhstan residing in Mongolia.
In his opening remarks, Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city S.Batbold conveyed his Nauryz greetings to all aksakals, elders, children and youth and all the Kazakhs personally and on behalf of residents of Ulaanbaatar city.
He said hardworking, talented and determined Kazakhs have contributed greatly to the development of Ulaanbaatar city over the past years.
On February 19, 2010, the 64th session of the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on "International Day of Nauryz". Every year many countries in the world including Mongolia celebrate Nauryz holiday widely.
