Copies of every print publication to be sent to public libraries

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, Mongolian Writers’ Union and the Printing Houses Association signed a memorandum of cooperation to support the operation of public libraries and implementation of the ‘Legal deposit' provision of the Law on Library.
The parties concluded the memorandum in order to create an archive for intellectual works, national catalogue and database for books and publications.
Under the cooperation, two copies of works by members of Mongolian Writers’ Union and the Printing Houses Association members will be given to the National Library for free and two copies of children's books and publications to the Children’s Central Library.
Moreover, two copies of every published book by rural writers will be granted to the local library.
