Ambassador gets acquainted with conditions of students studying in Cuba

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On February 19-23, Mongolian Ambassador to Cuba Sh. Battsetseg met with officials of Cuban universities, including Medical University of Camagüey, the University of Medical Sciences of Cienfuegos, the Latin American School of Medicine in Havana, and Technological University of Habana José Antonio Echeverría, where Mongolian students study, and personally
got acquainted with the learning and living environment of the students.
At the meetings, the parties exchanged views on the matters
regarding the risks to students having class suspensions due to
ongoing pandemic quarantines for the last 12 months and mobilization of medical
school students for public check-ups, improvement of sterilization and protection
conditions as well as some difficulties faced by students due to shortages of
foods and other products in the country.
The academic performance, efforts and participation of Mongolian students studying in Cuba are appraised good in most schools.
The Ambassador handed over to the students the aid provided
by the ‘Fund to assist Mongolian citizens’ of the Consular Department of the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia.
