Foreign Minister pays courtesy call on President of Kazakhstan

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Within the framework of her official visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Minister of Foreign Affairs B.Battsetseg on October 13 paid a courtesy call on President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Conveying the greetings of President of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh, Foreign Minister B.Battsetseg underscored that relations with Kazakhstan occupy an important position in Mongolia’s foreign policy. Moreover, she expressed commitment to expand traditionally friendly bilateral relations, enrich economic cooperation, and further strengthen the friendship between the people of the two countries.
The sides agreed to widely celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries which will be marked in 2022. Emphasizing that there is an untapped potential in trade, investment, and economic cooperation between the countries, the sides exchanged views on further advancing mutually beneficial cooperation in these areas and agreed to pay attention to the issues of transport and logistics which are posing obstacles to the trade.
Highlighting that Mongolia
is a reliable strategic partner of Kazakhstan and the people of the
two countries have historically close ties, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed
satisfaction with the good tradition of supporting each other in the
international arena.
Moreover, President Kassym-Jomart
Tokayev thanked Mongolia for creating a favorable environment for Kazakh people
in Mongolia where they can preserve their language, culture and tradition and invited President U.Khurelsukh to pay a visit to the country.
