Partnering with the Asian Development Bank on Public Transport

Ulaanbaatar, April 17, 2024 /MONTSAME/. Sainzorig Purevjav, the First Deputy Governor of Ulaanbaatar City in charge of Economy and Infrastructure, met with Kanzo Nakai, Director of the Transport Sector Office at the Asian Development Bank on April 17, 2024.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed the projects and programs planned to be implemented jointly in Ulaanbaatar from 2024 to 2028. The First Deputy Governor Sainzorig said, "It will be good to continue working together on the "Special Road Bus" Project being implemented with the Asian Development Bank. Also, we are ready to cooperate in empowering professionals, engineers, and related officials in the public transportation sector, expanding pedestrian and bicycle roads, building a unified logistics center for urban freight transportation, and building multi-level intersections in areas with heavy traffic."
Kanzo Nakai, the Director of the Transport Sector Office at the Asian Development Bank, said, "We are ready to work together to improve the public transportation sector in Ulaanbaatar. I am confident that our future collaboration would be significant and effective."
