Mongolian Judokas Earn Seven Medals from the Russian Judo Tour

Ulaanbaatar, December 23, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The Russian Judo Tour Final Moscow 2024 took place in Moscow, the capital of Russia, on December 21-22, 2024. 

This year, top athletes from Mongolia, Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Belarus, Cuba, Brazil, Greece, Uzbekistan, Cyprus, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, and Moldova competed in the Russian Judo Tour Final Moscow 2024, as well as medalists from the 2021, 2022, and 2023 Russian Judo Tour participated by invitation.  The Mongolian team claimed two gold and five bronze medals at the Russian Judo Tour. Specifically, International Master of Sports Sukhbat Byambasuren earned gold in the men’s -60 kg category, and Sosorbaram Lkhagvasuren won gold in the women’s -57 kg category. Furthermore, Silver Medalist of the World Championships Ariunbold Enkhtaivan in the men’s -60 kg category, International Master of Sports Erdenebayar Batzaya in the men’s -73 kg category, International Master of Sports Anudari Jamsran in the women’s -48 kg category, Master of Sports Nandin-Erdene Myagmarsuren in the women’s -52 kg category, and International Master of Sports Adiyasuren Amarsaikhan in the women’s +78 kg category won bronze medals.  The winners of the competition were awarded 400,000 rubles for gold, 200,000 rubles for silver, and 100,000 rubles for bronze.  The next major event for Mongolian judokas will be the Adults National Championships of Mongolia, set to take place in January 2025, followed by a series of Grand Slam and Grand Prix starting in February next year.
