M. Khishigbayar Wins Two Bronze Medals at 24th World IPCA Individual Chess Championship 2025

Ulaanbaatar, August 6, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The 24th World IPCA Individual Chess Championship 2025 took place in Goa, the Republic of India, from July 21 to 31, 2025, bringing together over 90 para-athletes from 18 countries across four continents.
According to the Mongolian Chess Federation, Mongolia was represented by Candidate Masters M. Khishigbayar and S. Sundui, who both delivered strong performances. Khishigbayar secured two bronze medals in the Rapid and Blitz formats.
A veteran chess player, M. Khishigbayar previously won silver at the 1984 Mongolian National Chess Championship and bronze at the 2017 Asian Para Chess Championship held in the Kyrgyz Republic. M.Khishigbayar is also a two-time national champion among Mongolian senior chess players.
