National team becomes World Memory Champion
Mongolia’s national team showed an absolute triumph in the World Memory Championship 2017 in Jakarta, Indonesia, grabbing 57 out of 90 medals in total. At the championship held on December 1-3, more than 130 high-rated athletes from 21 countries competed in 10 principles of sight and hearing memory contests over three days.

Mining minister met authorities of industrial parks
Mining and Heavy Industry Minister D. Sumiyabazar held a meeting with authorities of industrial and technological parks in Mongolia. At the meeting held on November 30, the Minister said, “Parks are just on the start and currently impotent to attract investment."

PM appealed to combat air pollution all together
On November 30, Prime Minister U. Khurelsukh worked in the most air-polluted areas of Ulaanbaatar city. He visited general educational school #39 in Chingeltei district, kindergarten #38 in Songinokhairkhan district, air-quality measurement post #6 in Bayankhoshuu ger area and family of N. Adiyasuren, citizen of 11th khoroo of Bayangol district.

IFC Appoints Randall Riopelle as Country Manager for Mongolia
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On December 1, International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, appointed Randall Riopelle as Country Manager for Mongolia, China and Korea. Effective today, Riopelle will be responsible for coordinating the investment and advisory programs as well as managing relationships with governments and development partners in the three countries. He will be based in Beijing.

World Bank Supports Mongolia’s Reforms with USD120 Million Financing
On November 30, the World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors approved USD120 million in financing to support Mongolia’s efforts to restore debt sustainability, strengthen the social protection system, and enhance the competitiveness of the economy.

All schools, kindergartens and children’s wards of hospitals to have air purifiers
At its irregular meeting on December 1, the Cabinet made a decision to provide schools, kindergartens and children’s wards of hospitals with air purifiers. After working in most air-polluted areas of the city on November 30, U. Khurelsukh, Prime Minister and Head of the National Committee on reducing environmental pollution, called an irregular cabinet meeting.
