江口喜多枝さん、ガンダン寺に慈母観音を寄贈 　　　　子どもの図書をお寺と日本センターへ
　およそ20年におよぶモンゴルへの子ども教育や医療支援の奉仕活動を続けてきた江口喜多枝さん（モンゴルNGO子ども支援代表・北極星勲章受章）が、NGOの仲間やモンゴル・ロータリークラブ会長などを同行して、24日、ガンダン寺にマエダル慈母観音と、子ども僧侶のための図書談話室および子ど もの図書（科学、読み物など）を寄贈した。

三菱商事の支援により、 ダウン症候群のための職業訓練所設立
　モンゴルダウン協会には、およそ300の家族が登録している、そのうち20％が18歳以上のダウン症候群を持つ人という。　モンゴルダウン協会は、社会貢献の一環として、三菱商事株式会社の支援により、ダウン症候群を持つ人のための職業訓練センターを設立した。同センターには、ダウン症候群のある若者が、コーヒーショップ、喫茶店に働くため1～2年間の訓練するという。

白斑を治す病院、新宿皮フ科の支援で設立
　20日、モンゴルで初めて白斑を治す「Mon Shinjuku skin med」病院の開院式が行われた。同病院は日本の新宿皮フ科の光線療法を使い、白斑を治す機会を作った。

日本伝統食「蕎麦」 食体験イベント、今年も開催
　日本伝統の「食」である蕎麦麺を食体験するイベント「蕎麦祭り」は今年も開催された。15日と16日の両日にアサ・サーカス 内で行われたこのイベントは食糧・農牧軽工業省、国家開発庁、モンゴル蕎麦農家協会、 日本全麺協の主催による。後援は、モンゴル 国民投資銀行、コロネ・ブローハウス・レストラン、モンゴル調理師協会である。

  アジア太平洋通信社機構(OANA）の第43回理事会は3日、イラン・イスラム共和国の首都テヘランで開かれた。この理事会では、18カ国20機関の代表が、東アジアのメディア協力におけるOANAの役割、OANAと現代メディアの取組について議論した。

　4日、ハルトマー・バトトルガ大統領がモンゴル元朝秘史の動画イラスト版の発表式に出席した。「モンゴル元朝秘史を世界に紹介しよう」と呼びかける財団のR.バトツェンゲル創設者の支援により、元朝秘史の動画イラスト版が紹介された。

日本のNGO、手作りの理科教材で学習の底上げを「モノ作りプロジェクト」、20校に手作り器材を配布
　モンゴルの理科教育に本格的な新しい試みで貢献しているのが日本のNGO、「ALL　NET」（理事長は元在モンゴル日本大使の城所卓雄氏）の理科教材開 発支援事業「モノ作りプロジェクト」だ。2017年3月から3年間の外務省委託で、モンゴル国立教育大学をカウンターパートとして取り組んでいる。

多様化する結婚披露宴、1人当たり費用は5万4000～13万トゥグルグ
　モンゴルでは、毎年、結婚する夫婦は約1万7000人で、そのうちの約5％が結婚式を行っている。結婚宮殿によると、今年7月には100組の夫婦が結婚した。結婚式のビジネスサービスは年々多様化している。

鮮卑時代に属する、 モンゴル初めの発見
　24日、モンゴル国立博物館は、オブス、フブスグル、オルホン、トゥブの各県で発見されたフン帝国、鮮卑時代、チュルク時代に属する新たな発見について記者会見を開いた。 　国立博物館の研究チームは、2014年にオルホン県のジャルガラント郡にあるアイラギィン・ゴズゴル跡地で発掘を開始した。研究チームは、100ヵ所の墓地を登録し、16箇所を調査した。

大統領の後援により 国際医師シンポジウム開催
　23日～25日にかけて消化器がんの 手術や治療に関する、第10回モンゴル・日本による合同国際シンポジュムがウランバートル市で開催された。今年は、肝臓、脾臓、膵臓癌の近代的な診察と治療と題したシンポジウムがモンゴル大統領の後援により開催され、モンゴル、日本、韓国、インド、ロシア、カザフスタンの医師らが肝移植（健康なドナーから肝臓の一部分を取り出し、患者レシピエントへ移植する手術のこと）や手術のライブなどのテーマで話し合い、経験交流した。

　齧歯類の中で最大の一つであるビーバーは、モンゴルのレッドブックに絶滅危惧種として載せられたほど、生息数が激減している希少動物である。モンゴルでは、ホブド県ボルガン郡にあるボルガン川に、約300頭のモンゴルの野生のビーバーが生息する。

　6月27日、マンモスの牙がドルノド県バヤンドン郡の金鉱従業員であるP.オドバヤルさんによって発見された。彼は8月3日にそれをモンゴル科学アカデミー古生物学研究センターに届け出たと、12日、弊社モンツァメ通信が発表した。
