モンゴルの平和維持部隊がマラソン大会で、上位独占
　アフガニスタンの首都カブールにある軍基地で「Dancon -2018」25㌔のマラソン大会が、平和維持部隊の間で行われた。マラソンに参加した249名の隊員の中で、モンゴルの隊員が初めて1位から19位までを独占し、外国人の選手らに印象づけた。

Eastern Cupジュニア・バスケットボール　 国際大会に、4個のメダル獲得
　国際バスケットボール連盟(FIBA) の後援により、恒例としてEastern Cup ジュニア・バスケットボール国際大会が3月29日～4月2日にかけて、ドイツ連邦共和国・ベルリンで開催された。この大会には、モンゴルから13～16歳の女子2チーム、男子5チームが参加した。その結果、U13部門の男子チームはドイツの代表チームを42対31点で下し、優勝した。

レスリング女子Ｗ杯で銅メダル獲得
　日本の高崎市の「高崎アリーナ」で3月17日、18日「2018女子レスリングワールドカップ（Ｗ杯）・高崎大会」が開催された。第17回のこの大会には、日本、ベラルーシ、米国、モンゴル、カナダ、中国、ルーマニア、スウェーデンの８カ国が出場した。

レスリング選手団が、大統領杯で8個メダル
　ブリヤート共和国大統領杯レスリング大会が10～11日、ロシアのウラン・ウデで開催された。第13回目の開催。同大会では、ロシア、モンゴル、韓国、アルメニア、ベラルーシ、ハンガリー、リトアニアなど15カ国180人の選手が出場した。その結果、モンゴル代表団は8個のメダルを獲得した。

パラ・パワーリフティング ワールドカップ、3度目の優勝
　パラ・パワーリフティング・ワールドカップは2月17～22日にかけて、アラブ首長国連邦・首都ドバイで開催。第9回目。本大会では32カ国の約200名が参加した。 　モンゴル国旗を背負って本大会出場を果たしたのは、E.ソドノムピルジェー選手（スポーツ功労選手）。計220㌔を持ち上げて、昨年3月のワールドカップに続き3度目の優勝を果たした。

　16～20日にかけて、第38回アジア自転車競技選手権大会がマレーシアの首都クアラルンプールで開催された。この大会では、モンゴルのB.テグシバヤル選手が出場し、エリート男子スクラッチ15㌔部門で銅メダルを獲得した。

モンゴル人女性ノミンさん、北極圏を犬ぞりで走破
　スウェーデンのフェー ルラーベン・ポーラー 社（ F J A L L R A V E N POLAR）は、毎年北極圏への旅に参加する旅行者を自社サイトで募集し、20 人を選出した。このうち、アメリカでデザイナーを目指して学んでいるモンゴル人女性、S.ノミンさん（19 歳）が選出された。6日間、北極圏の300キロの冬の犬ぞりの旅で、スウェー デンのフェールラーベン・ ポーラー社は、犬ぞり旅の切符、衣服、費用を提供する。犬ぞりでの北極の旅に ついて、S.ノミンさんにインタビューした。

　国際バスケットボール連盟（FIBA）はバスケット3対3の世界最優秀選手10名を発表した。 その中で、モンゴルのエンフバト・ドゥルグーン（25歳）選手が3位にランクインした。

グンデグマー功労選手 アジアエアガン選手権大会で銀メダル獲得
　2017年度第10回アジアエアガン選手権大会が6～12日、埼玉県和光市で開催され、モンゴルから北京オリンピック銀メダリスト、労働英雄のO.グンデグマー選手が10メートルエアピストル女子成年で銀メダルを獲得した。

算盤・暗算世界選手権で モンゴルが17個金杯を獲得
　マレーシアの首都クアラルンプールで開催された第22回算盤・暗算世界選手権大会にモンゴルから78人の子どもが参加し、グランドチャンピオンに1人、チャンピンに2人が輝き、金杯を17人、銀杯27人、銅杯20人がそれぞれ獲得した。

雪崩で登山家17名死亡
　18日、モンゴルの登山家スポーツ・マスターのＮ.スレンジャブ氏の率いる27人が自動車3台でモンゴルの西部ザブハン県のオトゴン郡にあるオトゴンテンゲル山（標高4008㍍）を登山のためウランバートルから出発した。そして10月21日、16時30分にオトゴンテンゲル山頂に着き、降りる際に雪崩に巻き込まれた。

草 原 マ ラ ソ ン,１５００人が楽しみながら快走 日本とモンゴル、友好の絆を深めてゴールイン
毎年行われるモンゴル陸上競技連盟主催のモンゴル国際草原マラソン大会（通称:草原マラソン）の第21回大会が、9月10日（日）、フィードローン・ホタグ（国家ナーダム競馬場）で開催された。好天に恵まれ、1,500人の参加ランナーたちが元気に大草原を駆け抜けた。

日本を拠点に東京オリンピック目指す キュートなマラソン選手
一児の母、コーチの夫と二人三脚 　昨年、 11月26日に行われた富士山マラソン大会で、女子フルマラソンの頂点に立ったのは、なんとモンゴルから飛び入りしたバヤルツォグト・ムンフザヤ（23歳）選手。2時間48分46秒、モンゴル人としては初めての優勝だ。彼女は元々、リオ五輪にモンゴル代表として参加したオリンピック選手の経歴がある。昨年、9月モンゴルで行われた“草原マラソン”（モンゴル国際草原マラソン大会）で優勝したことから、富士山マラソンに招待され、見事優勝を果たしたラッキーガールだ。お茶の間でテレビを見る全国の日本人をアッと言わせた。そんなムンザヤさんを、コーチで夫のバトバヤル・ドルジバラムさんと一緒にインタビューした。

今年の“草原マラソン大会”は、9月10日（日）に開催！
　毎年、ウランバートル郊外の大草原で行われている「モンゴル国際草原マラソン大会」は、丸ごとモンゴルのユニークな大会であるため、年々、知名度が上がり、昨年の20回記念大会では、参加者2500人を集めた。この大会は、モンゴル陸上競技連盟の主催で、日本やモンゴルのボランティアたちが支援して行われる非営利の運営が特徴。マラソンを通して、国際友好とモンゴル国のアピールを目的とし、さらにモンゴル陸上界の発展をめざす。
