Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Fulbright Program Officer in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of State Ms Victoria Augustine Thursday held a second Fulbright talk at the American Corner at the Ulaanbaatar City Library, the US Embassy’s website published Friday.

Ms Augustine discussed Fulbright and other State Department exchange programs with an audience of more than 500 people that was followed by a lively Q&A session.

To accommodate the large number of individuals expected to attend the event, Ms Augustine’s remarks were live-streamed to additional rooms at the library. Acting PAO Mr Richard Roberts addressed at least 150 attendees in the lobby once all seating in the program rooms was filled. The interest and attendance demonstrates the popularity of State Department exchanges in Mongolia.

The American Cultural and Information Centers are small American style libraries. The American Corner in Ulaanbaatar is operated jointly by the U.S. Embassy and the Ulaanbaatar Public Library.
