Ulaanbaatar leaders congratulate on 376th Anniversary

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Mayor of Capital city and the Governor of Ulaanbaatar E.Bat-Uul and the chairman of the UB Citizens’ Representatives Khural D.Battulga conveyed greetings October 29 on the 376th anniversary of establishing the modern capital city of Mongolia.

The Capital Renovation Team has been executing developments in many sectors such as roads to  connect off-center gers (national dwelling) and summerhouse areas, and re-structuring of the ger areas for the second year in collaboration with the communities, moreover, 144 families have moved to new apartments from the ger districts out of the intended 1,500.

The public transport routes, observed for the last 60 years, have been renewed, the electronic cards have been applied to services.

By organizing land auctions and public sales, illegal land marketing has been stopped and 2.8 billion MNT has been added to the capital city budget, so far.

Package of art and cultural events for attracting more tourists has been realized during Naadam festival, the national classic opera “Three dramatic hills” (Uchirtai gurvan tolgoi) was staged on July 10 for the first time at the main square.

Ulaanbaatar served as a platform for all cities of the North-East Asian region on green growth issue this fall. The international statement, adopted during the NEA Green City Development, is to be submitted to the United Nations Climate Change Conference (UNCCC), which will take place in Paris this December, spoke the leaders of Ulaanbaatar.

“We will put all efforts to observe our duties to make Ulaanbaatar a disciplined, friendly and convenient for both living and travelling city," they said and wished the UB people health and happiness.
