Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A total of 13,644 hectares area--1,604 hectares of the city's Songinokhairkhan district and 12,040 hectares of Tov aimag’s Argalant soum--have been named as the state special use territory for the Naadam festival actions' site.

Such decision was made by the cabinet meeting on Monday. Obligations were given to B.Bolor, the Minister of Finance, and to N.Battsereg, the Minister of Environment, Green Development and Tourism, to finance an erection of this "Mongolian Naadam"-named complex after having placed  money in annual budgets.

The grand Naadam's main site--the city's stadium--has become too small for those, who want to enjoy the festival's opening, closing and wrestling competitions, due to growing population of the city. For the time being, the stadium can shelter only one percent of the Naadam watchers. For this reason, it had been decided to establish the “Mongolian Naadam" complex, a locality-owned entity, by a resolution of the city’s council within the General planning of Ulaanbaatar until 2020.

The complex is projected to have a stadium, horse race arena, archery field, hotel, tour camps, so-called sacred places for horses, wrestling and archery.
