Regulation Amended to Allow One-Time Assistance to Be Granted to Civil Servants’ Heirs

Ulaanbaatar, November 25, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Government has approved an amendment to the regulation on providing one-time nonrefundable assistance to civil servants upon retirement, enabling the benefit to be issued to the lawful heirs of eligible civil servants who pass away before receiving it.
Under
the original regulation, all civil servants, except political appointees, were
entitled to the one-time assistance when leaving service on the grounds
specified in the Law on Civil Service. However, there was no provision for
cases in which an eligible civil servant died before receiving the assistance.
The amendment,
approved at the Cabinet session on November 25, 2025, clarifies that if such a
civil servant met all legal requirements for retirement-based assistance, the
one-time payment may be inherited in accordance with the Civil Code.
