SIF income and expense go up
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In first one month of this year, the income of Social Insurance Fund (SIF) reached MNT 109.4 billion, while the expense became MNT 140.4 billion, so the SIF income increased by MNT 48.7 billion or 80.1% and the expense--by MNT 33.2 billion or 30.9% against the previous year.
In January 2016, totally money of MNT 10.4 billion was granted to 148.0 thousand people for pensions, and welfare benefits from the Social Welfare Fund, a number of persons received pensions and welfare allowances increased by 31.4 thousand people or 26.9%, and an amount of pensions and allowances increased by MNT 2.4 billion or 30.2% compared to same period of the previous year.
In January 2016, money of MNT 19.2 billion was granted from the Human Development Fund to 949.8 thousand children aged below 18 as cash benefits.
The increases of SIF income and expense were mainly caused by increases in the funds of transportation insurance and the insurance for occupational accidents and illnesses.
