Digital signature certificates to be granted
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Chairman of the State Registration and Statistics Agency S.Mendsaikhan was assigned to launch applying digital signatures to the citizen’s passports starting this April 1 in cooperation with a licensed digital signature certifying company. The cabinet made this decision at regular meeting of March 15.
As internet becomes a daily use, it is unavoidable that receive and provide public, private and financial services, make deals and exchange official documents. In order to establish trust in online environment, ensure secure transfer and confidentiality of information, and to correctly identify the source of information, digital signature is now recognized and utilized globally.
Consortium of Interactive LLC and SSSK LLC has been licensed to grant digital signature certificates, and has been providing its services under an official branch name – “Mon Pass”.
