Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Pollution emitted from cars and public transportations has being measured for the first time in winter. Japanese international cooperation agency is implementing ‘Capacity development project-2 for air pollution control in Ulaanbaatar’ and the project team together with the Air Quality Department of the Capital City has conducted the survey in Ulaanbaatar traffic. Yesterday, measurements were made on Eco buses.

Surveys of the project showed that 10 per cent of the air pollution is caused by vehicles, among which 70 per cent of it from public transportations and large sized buses. Pollution measuring instrument for moveable pollutant sources was installed on 20 vehicles, measuring in routes of straight roads, central and circled roads in morning, day and evening times.
