MPs pay visit to Canada

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Parliamentary delegation, composed of Mongolia and Canada parliamentary group Head MP B.Saranchimeg, MP Z.Narantuya and Chairwoman of Foreign Relations Department of Parliament Office Sh.Narantuya visited Canada on May 1-5.

The delegation met with Speaker of House of Commons Geoff Regan, Chairman of Canada-Mongolia Friendship Group in the Canadian Parliament Senator Joseph Day and members of the group, Chair of Standing Committee on Human Resources, Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities of House of Commons Brian May, Vice Chair Brigitte Sansoucy and Director General of North Asia and Oceania at Global Affairs Canada Sarah Taylor and other officials, exchanging views on partnership relations and cooperation of the two countries.

During the meetings, MPs expressed their gratitude to Canada, one of third neighbors of Mongolia, for supporting Mongolian democracy, human rights and development and noted the Mongolian Parliament is for strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation further. The delegates also met with MPs of Ontario province, in Toronto city, visiting the provincial parliament.

The visit was a part of realization of cooperation agreement between Parliament Offices of the two countries, established in 2016.
