Prime Minister meets Polish and Japanese delegates in Beijing

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On May 13, J.Erdenebat, Prime Minister of Mongolia met with Beata Szydlo, Prime Minister of Poland, who is attending the Belt and Road Summit in Beijing, China.

After expressing her gratitude to Mongolia for supporting Poland in an election of non-permanent members of the UN Security Council. Ms. Beata Szydlo requested the Prime Minister to support bilateral cooperation by exchanging students, implementing a Polish language training program in Mongolia's higher educational institutes and universities and by collaborating in mining investment and paleontology. 

Prime Minister J.Erdenebat expressed his willingness to support Polish investors as the country is seeking to bring European technology and standards into Mongolia and said that Poland should open its Embassy in Ulaanbaatar. He pointed out that opening the Embassy of Poland in Mongolia will help to intensify the bilateral relations, trade and economic cooperation more in the future. The meeting concluded with the sides exchanging views on issues of increasing a number of Mongolian students to study in Poland and collaboration in areas of culture, education, paleontology and social welfare.

The same day, Japanese delegates led by Toshihiro Nikai, Chairman of Liberal Democratic Party paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister J.Erdenebat.

Toshihiro Nikai noted that Mongolia and Japan, strategic partners, have wide opportunities to develop bilateral relations and cooperation within the framework of the economic partnership. Afterwards, the sides exchanged views on celebrating the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Japan and increasing the tourist flow from Japan to Mongolia in the scope of the anniversary.
