MPs attending International trade workshop in Singapore

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Members of Parliament D.Tsogtbaatar and B.Undarmaa are attending an International Trade Workshop for Parliament Members-2017, which is taking place on May 15-17 in Singapore. Rajaratnam School of International Studies and the World Trade Organization Secretariat (RSIS-WTO) are organizing the workshop, which is financed by Temasek Foundation of Singapore.

The participants are discussing an issue of moving the Doha Dialogue forward and measures required to carry-out by decision makers in order to engage in international trade more reliably and effectively.

The workshop was addressed by Halimah Yacob, Speaker of the Singaporean Parliament. The representatives of the World Trade Organization and participating specialists exchanged their opinions and made presentations on international trade tendency, challenges faced in the trade relations and policy and legal measures needed to take by WTO member states with a view to tackle those issues.

According to the schedule, MPs are going to get familiarized with the activities of the Port of Singapore and to visit the Parliament House of Singapore.
