Voter turnout nears 50 percent

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The General Election Commission reports that voter turnout is 45.5 percent on the national level.

The report shows that 902,124 people have voted for the next president of Mongolia as of 5 PM.

In specific, the turnout in the capital city was 44 percent, while in the provinces, it was 46.89 percent.

Bayankhongor aimag showed the highest percentage of voter turnout nationwide with 57.86 percent, whereas the lowest was in Dornod aimag with 36.96 percent.
