President meets UN Permanent Representative

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On September 20, Kh.Battulga, President of Mongolia, received Beate Trankmann, UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative to Mongolia.
Present at the meeting were Representatives of the United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) and the UN Population Fund and Development Programme (UNFPA).
The President expressed thanks to the UN Permanent Representatives Office for working in Mongolia since 1976. He said Mongolia has the expressed willingness to make the Mongolia-UN cooperation more fruitful and concrete. Then, he talked about five priority issues need to be tackled, including unemployment, poverty, environmental problems, children issues and air pollution.
In response, Beate Trankmann supported the President's views, and agreed to bring up the cooperation into a new and efficient level.
