Mongolian peacekeepers stop armed attack in South Sudan

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian Peacekeepers serving in the United Nations Peacekeeping Operations in the Republic of South Sudan (UNMISS) managed to stop an armed attack occurred on October 15.
 
Some armed people assaulted and robbed people in a refugee camp in Bentiu town on midnight October 15. It was stopped by the personnel of the motorized infantry battalion commanded by D.Enkhbaatar.
 
The Headquarters of the United Nations Mission in the Republic of South Sudan (UNMISS) applauded the protecting refugees in the town, saying, “The Mongolian battalion took immediate measures on the incidence in accordance with the Basic Principles on the Use of Force and Firearms. It was one of the good examples on it,”
