New statues decorate Seoul Street

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On the occasion of the 378th anniversary of founding of Ulaanbaatar, statues were placed at the Seoul Street or Night-light Street on October 29.
Themed ‘Happy Ulaanbaatar’, the statues were built by sculptors L.Gantumur and T.Davaasambuu, who said the statues were modeled for young minds.
There are over 230 monuments, statues and historic sites in Ulaanbaatar. According to Ulaanbaatar Mayor S.Batbold, 80 of them were erected for city decoration purposes.
“We will continue to add modern statues to this city,” the Mayor said. “On the other hand, we will also focus on preserving the historic sites and monuments as well,” he said.
