Young wrestlers capture medals in Yoshida Cup-2017

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian young wrestlers won seven medals in the Yoshida Cup-2017 International Freestyle Wrestling Tournament took place in on November 3-4 in Tsu, Japan, the birthplace of Saori Yoshida, a legendary wrestler of Japan and three-time Olympic champion and 13-time world champion.

Mongolia was represented in the competitions by over 20 wrestlers coached by T.Sukhbaatar and S.Munkhduuldakh. They collected one gold medal, two silver and four bronze medals.

In girls’ category, an athlete of the ‘Jenco’ club B.Maral won a gold medal, while E.Odzaya and U.Purevsuren from the same club grabbed silver medals. Bronze medals went to D.Otgonjargal, M.Munkhgerel, M.Tumen-Ulzii and B.Khongorzul.

Organized for the third ear, the Yoshida Cup-2017 attracted more than 900 wrestlers from six countries.
