Mongolia and Georgia to broaden their cooperation

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 1st consultative meeting between Foreign Ministries of Mongolia and Georgia took place on November 27 in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Headed by T.Janabazar, Director of the neighboring countries department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from Mongolian side and David Kerecelidze, Director of the Ministry’s Department of Asia, Africa, Australia and Pacific Rim from Georgian side, the sides discussed current state of the relations and cooperation. They also exchanged views on future prospects of the cooperation in economy and commerce sectors.

Having established diplomatic relations between the two countries on May 12, 1992, this year marks the 25th anniversary. In the scope of the anniversary, the sides agreed to co-organize cultural events, develop cooperation in tourism sector and intensify cooperation between Chambers of  Commerce and Industry of the two countries.
 
Moreover, Mongolia will organize the 2nd consultative meeting in Mongolia in 2018 with aims to establish a memorandum of cooperation between the Ministries and to expand relations in politics, economy and humanitarian sectors.
