Ministry announces 2018 as Year of Energy Saving and Efficiency

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On January 5, Ministerial Council of Energy held its first meeting of 2018.
At the meeting, the members discussed issues including outlook of project ‘Fifth thermal power plant’, legal environment of special licenses that are being granted by the Ministry, works implemented in direction of energy saving and future plans.
Moreover the members of the Ministerial Council agreed and approved announcing 2018 as ‘Year of Energy Saving and Efficiency’. In order to tackle increasing need of heating in the capital city, they considered it proper to make complex works in saving within public and private partnership. The Council members made suggestions such as conducting actions to detect heat loss on the spot and resolve it and collaborating with construction companies in resolving buildings’ heat loss.
