Kuwait’s Independence Day celebrated in Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Embassy of Kuwait organized a reception in Ulaanbaatar on February 22 on occasion of the 57th Anniversary of the Independence Day and the 27th Anniversary of liberation day of the State of Kuwait.
Members of Parliament and the Government, Ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations and other figures were present at the reception.
In his opening speech, Ambassador of Kuwait to Mongolia Khalid Yateem Al-Fadhli extended his best wishes to the Mongolian people on the occasion of Tsagaan sar, which was celebrated last week.
“2017 was one of the distinguished years in the sphere of bilateral relations between the two countries, and Mongolia's vote for the State of Kuwait in the elections for non-permanent membership of the Security Council in June 2017 indicates the extent of harmony and coordination between the two countries,” said Ambassador Khalid Yateem Al-Fadhli.
The Ambassador also noted the achievements in economic, health and humanitarian cooperation saying, “The first meeting of the Joint Committee of the two governments was held last May and exchanged views on our future cooperation. As you know, a building of the National Burn Center of Traumatology in capital city of Ulaanbaatar is under construction by the donation of the State of Kuwait.”
The Ambassador also mentioned that the Embassy was honored last December by the Mongolian Red Cross Society with the award of the Best humanitarian organization in 2017. “This is a clear example of the fact that the cooperation in the humanitarian field has reached advanced levels,” he said.
Minister of Health D.Sarangerel delivered a speech on behalf of the Mongolian Government, and appreciated the continued support of Kuwait to Mongolia. The Minister also remarked on the expanding Mongolia-Kuwait relations, expressing the Mongolian Government’s readiness to further strengthen bilateral ties.
