Ulaanbaatar and Hohhot cities to bring their relations to new level

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A meeting of businessmen from Ulaanbaatar and Hohhot cities was held on the sidelines of Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city and Governor of Capital city S.Batbold’s visit to Hohhot, reported on May 1. In the frames of the business meeting, the Ulaanbaatar Chamber of Commerce and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Inner Mongolia Sub-council (China Chamber of International Commerce Inner in Hohhot) signed a memorandum of cooperation with an aim to bring business and commerce relations to a new level.
The visit enabled the two cities to cooperate in urban development, urban greening and tourism. Furthermore, Ulaanbaatar–Hohhot business forum was organized to open possibilities for Mongolian and Chinese businessmen to supply their products to the market. Chairman of Project Administration Zhang Guo Pin thanked the delegates on behalf of the Hohhot Government and noted that since the establishment of a brotherhood relations between Ulaanbaatar city and Hohhot in 1991, relations between the two cities have been developing constantly.

“Through the visit, we are working on creating favorable condition for business and economic sectors between the two countries. Hohhot is on the very important stage of development. We strive so that Hohhot-Ulaanbaatar-Moscow cities are connected with paved road. There is a Chinese saying that if entities develop, a country will develop so entities are power of a country,” Zhang Guo Pin said.
Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city S.Batbold remarked that the cooperation in culture, education and health sectors have been intensifying from year to year for 27 years since the establishment of the brotherhood relations. Economic cooperation, and partnership between businessmen are vital parts of the further development of relations between the citizens, entities and the countries.
Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city attaches a big importance to the meeting of businessmen. "Hohhot is the closest neighbor of Ulaanbaatar city to develop economic and business relations because intercity transportation infrastructure including air, road and railway has been already developed. In addition, the cities share similarities in culture and tradition. As of today, more than 1000 Mongolian students are studying in universities and institutes of Hohhot. This will give stimulus to further development of the two cities' cooperation" Mayor S.Batbold said.
