Innovation Week taking place this week

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Innovation Week of Mongolia is taking place between May 7 and May 13.
Opening ceremony of the ‘Innovation Week’ was held yesterday at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports.
Since 2015, ‘Innovation Week’ has been annually organized with aims to develop culture of innovation learning from international experiences and improve creative thinking and expand partnership and cooperation between state and private organizations.

Since 2015, ‘Innovation Week’ has been annually organized with aims to develop culture of innovation learning from international experiences and improve creative thinking and expand partnership and cooperation between state and private organizations.
As of today, innovation is being created and developed in two types in Mongolia. First, it is developed through the stages such as conducting a research on a new idea, undertaking technological experiment, practicing it and registering it as an intellectual property, producing products and supplying it to market. Second, innovation is being created without any patent of intellectual property.
Expansion and development of innovation are important to develop innovation products, services and production process, introduce latest technologies in a country and improve quality of products. Besides, it is also significant to bring intellectual properties into economic circulation and improve people’ living environment by using innovation to provide information and services.
This year’s event is being jointly organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, the Ulaanbaatar city’s Department of Industry and Innovation, Governor’s Office of Darkhan-Uul province, the Mongolian foundation for Science and Technology, the Mongolian Academy of Science, the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Mongolian University of Science and Technology, the Mongolian State University of Art and Culture, the Mongolian National University of Life Science, the Mongolian National Defense University, the National University of Mongolia, the Mongolian National University of Education, the Information and Technology Park, Association of Mongolian Young Scientists NGO, Mongolian Association of Innovation NGO and other NGOs and companies.
