Selenge aimag to cooperate with Buryatia in control and prevention of animal diseases

Selenge /MONTSAME/ Food and Agriculture Department of Selenge aimag signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation with the Buryat Republican Station on Animal Disease Control on May 30 in Sukhbaatar city.
The memorandum was signed by B.Munkhtur, Director of the Food and Agricultural Department of Selenge aimag and E.G. Sangadiyev, Head of the Buryat Republican Station on Animal Disease Control.
The main aims of the Memorandum of Understanding are exchanging information about issues under the full authorities of the two organizations and mutually developing cooperation in veterinary, quarantine and control fields. Moreover, a favorable condition to support free trade in the territories of Selenge aimag and Buryatia will be ensured especially, for export and import of agricultural and animal and plant origin products. The sides will also focus on livestock and animal diseases, quarantinable diseases, veterinary and environmental hygiene.

In the frames of the cooperation, the Food and Agriculture Department of Selenge aimag and the Buryat Republican Station on Animal Disease Control will mutually control the process of export and import of animal and plants, agricultural and animal and plant origin products as well as take actions to prevent from quarantinable diseases during the migration of pair-hoofed wild animals and livestock.
Furthermore, the memorandum includes many joint activities such as organizing exchange program for authorities and professionals of the two organizations, involving professionals in re-training program, organizing science and technology conference, and exhibition.
