Reception for National Holiday held in Singapore

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On the occasion of the 2227th anniversary of the Mongolian Statehood, 812th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire, 97th anniversary of the People’s Revolution in Mongolia and the 10th anniversary of establishment of Mongolian Embassy in the Republic of Singapore, a reception was hosted on June 22 in Singapore.
Ambassador of Mongolia to Singapore T.Lkhagvadorj remarked that political relations between the two countries are developing amidst boosting business contacts between businessmen in recent years. As a result of a visit by Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong to Mongolia in 2016, citizens of the two countries have afforded an opportunity to travel without visa for up to 30 days. This helped encouraging people-to-people contacts and that between businesses which is, in turn, conducive to making strides in areas of tourism and investment in future.
Diplomatic missions in Singapore have a tradition of hosting receptions for the national holidays. The Mongolian event was special by introducing Mongolian national dwelling ger and pieces of nomadic culture to the guests.
