Mayor S.Batbold talks about opportunity to build football field with AFC President

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On July 2, Mayor Ulaanbaatar City S.Batbold received President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Shaikh Salman.
AFC President Shaikh Salman expressed gratitude that the government body is supporting cooperation. Football has a positive impact on youth. The AFC sees that the Mongolian Football Federation (MFF) worked well in the past three years. Starting from January, 2019, the AFC will show professional and technical support to MFF.
In response, Mayor S.Batbold said that Mongolian weather condition is not suitable to construct football stadium. In this regard, the capital city is discussing opportunities with the MFF to develop and support football, and build football fields at secondary schools.
Mayor S.Batbold also pledged that Ulaanbaatar city will show support and cooperate in organizational works for the first round of the East Asian Football Championship to be hosted in Ulaanbaatar in September 2018.
Moreover, the two sides exchanged views on the possibilities of building modern and new international football stadium in compliance with international standards in Ulaanbaatar.
