National Statistics Office Chair A.Ariunzaya to serve as President of ANCSDAAP

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian delegation led by Chair of the National Statistics Office of Mongolia A.Ariunzaya participated in the 29th Population Census Conference, which was held in Da Nang city of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on July 11-13.
The meeting was organized under the theme "Innovative Approaches to Enhance the Quality of the 2020 Round of Census". During the meeting, Chair of the National Statistics Office of Mongolia A.Ariunzaya has been elected to serve as President of the Association of National Census and Statistics Directors of America, Asia and the Pacific (ANCSDAAP) in the years of 2018-2020.
Moreover, Mongolia will host the 30th Population Census Conference in Ulaanbaatar in 2020. Previously, the 26th Population Census Conference took place in Mongolia in 2013.
The mission of the Association is to foster communication and cooperation for the collection and analysis of comprehensive statistical information on human populations and their behavior. The Association's major activity has been the series of conferences that are conducted at intervals of approximately 1.5 to 2 years.
