Mongolian wrestlers claim three golds from Asian Championship

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Three Mongolian wrestlers claimed gold at the ‘Kazakh Kures’ Asian Wrestling Championship held in Astana, the Republic of Kazakhstan on August 26.

Specifically, Master of Sports B.Serik won gold in the event of +100 kg, G.Tuvshinjargal in -100 kg and Ye.Baskhuu in 66 kg respectively.

A total of eight athletes from Mongolia participated in the tournament. Two of them were qualified to compete for silver including B.Bukhchuluun (55 kg) and B.Tengis (90 kg), and three athletes were qualified for bronze including L.Unubold (60 kg), B.Purevdavaa (73 kg) and E.Tumennasan (82 kg) respectively.

A total of 77 wrestlers from 11 countries including Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Japan, Iran, India and Sri Lanka competed in eight weight categories.
