Mongolians successfully participate in World Skills Competition

On October 24, Minister of Labor and Social Protection Mr S.Chinzorig met a team of Mongolia who successfully participated in the 2017 World Skills Competition held on October 14-19 in Abu Dhabi, United Arabic Emirates.
In 2015, the Mongolian team made debut in the World Skills Competition, competing in nine contests. As for this year, Mongolia attended six events of cooking, carpentry, bricklaying, welding, electrical installations and plumbing and heating.
J.Janlav-Oidov took special prize in welding and he was selected as the national best participant. Another contestant from Mongolia L.Tuguldur got seven points out of 10 in the electrical installations. Other Mongolians, Ts.Myagmarsuren, Ts.Dolgormaa and B.Dagvasuren successfully completed their assignments although they did not win medals or take special prizes. 
The 45th World Skills Competition will take place in Kazan, Russia in 2019 and Chinese city Shanghai has been selected as host of the next Competition in 2021. In order to ensure preparation for Mongolian team, it is vital to organize the national championships, officials said.
During the meeting, the Minister presented certificates and cash prize to the Mongolian team members.
1,300 participants from 59 countries participated in the 44th World Skills Competition, challenging their professional skills in 51 contests.
