Korea week 2018 running

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Opening of the ‘Korea week 2018’ event co-organized by the Embassy of Republic of Korea in Mongolia and the Association of Koreans in Mongolia was held on September 16 at Seoul street, Ulaanbaatar.
Governor of the capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar S.Batbold delivered an opening remarks. In his remarks, he noted “Mongolia established diplomatic relations with the Republic of Korea in 1990 and supports each other at international level. Ulaanbaatar and Seoul have become sister cities in 1995. The cities have expanded relations and cooperation in all socio-economic sectors for the past 23 years. I am hopeful that the event will contribute to improve people's knowledge on Korean culture, traditions and customs and mutual understanding between the people of two countries.
Korean national band, singers and bands, who studied Korean national culture, Morin Khuur group of the Ulaanbaatar Ensemble and Suld Ensemble of Mongolian Police performed at the opening ceremony.
Korean film days will be held at ICinema on the 5th floor of the State Department Center on September 18-19.
The Korea week 2018 will run until September 22.
