Cabinet meeting in brief
PoliticsUlaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ At the regular meeting on October 24, the Cabinet approved Mid-term national program to implement State policy on Energy and State Policy on Auto Transportation, with appendixes. Required funding will be resolved within the state and local budgets, donations and assistance of foreign countries and international organizations, investment program and public and private partnership.
-The Cabinet
approved the ‘Intergovernmental agreement between Mongolia and the Republic of
Azerbaijan on mutual exemption of visa requirements for diplomatic and official
passport holders. In accordance with the
agreement, diplomatic and official passport holders of the two countries will
be able to mutually travel up to 90 days without visa.
-The Cabinet
approved a ‘Note between the Government of Mongolia and the Government of the
Republic of Chile’ on mutual exemption of visa requirements for ordinary
passport holders. Accordingly, ordinary passport holders of the two countries
will be able to mutually travel up to 90 days without visa. Therefore, Mongolians will enjoy visa-free travel to six countries of South
America.
-Mongolia has agreed with the Republic of Belarus to render
mutual legal assistance in connection with suing, retrieving evidence, accepting
court decisions by citizens of the two countries and the trial of civil cases.
The Cabinet backed a bill on ratifying agreement on mutual legal assistance for
criminal cases and decided to submit it to the parliament. In addition, it was
decided to submit a bill on ratifying agreement on the transfer of criminals.
