100 thousand fruit trees to be planted around the capital city
EnvironmentUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Three entities of South Korea intend to implement forestation project in Mongolia to combat deforestation in the
country, stopping the dust storms coming from Mongolia.
According to KOICA representative in Mongolia, a memorandum
of understanding was established between KOICA, KB Kookmin Bank and Green Asia,
a Seoul-based NGO fighting against climate change. Under the memorandum, the
three entities will plant 100 thousand fruit trees around Ulaanbaatar city
starting from next year.
Moreover, about 600 people are expected to receive income by
processing the fruits.
