Mongolian pathologists attend training in Japan
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Hiroshima University of Japan, the National Pathology Center of Mongolia, State Central Third Hospital named after P.N.Shastin and Center for Occupational Health and Safety are implementing a project ‘Improving Capacity of Diagnosing Lung Diseases Associated With Asbestos Dust at an Early Stage’ in 2018-2020.
The project is being
carried out with the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency
(JICA).
In the frames of the
project, Hiroshima University organized a training in diagnosis of asbestosis
and other respiratory diseases caused by asbestos, pre-cancerous stage of
lung, lung cancer and mesothelioma at Hiroshimo University on
December 3-10.
A group of Mongolian
13 specialists participated in the training including pathologists from capital
city and provinces, and laboratory technicians.
Moreover, remote
intraoperative diagnosis equipment NanoZoomer SQ was installed at the
National Pathology Center, creating condition to diagnose lung diseases using
histology test in cooperation with Japanese pathologists.
