Concertmasters to stage 'Piano Fest' concert

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Concertmasters of the State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet will hold a concert ‘Piano Fest’ on January 27 on the stage of the theatre.
In the concerts, Mongolian concertmasters from different generations and Morin Khuur player of the State Morin Khuur Ensemble N.Jigjiddorj and others will perform.
The history of the Mongolian concertmasters started in 1944 at the theatre of that time named ‘Bumbugur Nogoon' Theatre. Back then, Ida Pavlovna Badavjav worked as the concertmaster and played music for the silent films. Moreover, she trained People’s Artist Ts.Purevdorj for the Fourth World Youth and Student Festival which was held in 1953. Concertmasters from the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics had worked and tutored the concertmasters in Mongolia at the invitation since the 1950s.
