Bumbardai comics being displayed at international exhibition

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Barbican Center of Great Britain has been running Mangasia project since 2017, which aims to deliver history and culture of Asian countries through comics as well as to promote international masterpieces to other countries. Bumbardai project is representing the country in this project and being displayed at its exhibition.


The project comprises of comics that show historic development of over 20 Asian countries including Mongolia, Japan, Korea, Singapore, China, India, Pakistan and Malaysia. Additionally, the exhibition is special as it compiled works in multimedia version that meets age categories of the audiences.


The exhibition in Shenzhen city of China will be open from April 12 to the end of August. Then it will be shown in Thailand and will tour other countries of the world until 2022.


Bumbardai is a project that aims at promoting livelihoods of nomadic herders, their culture, tradition, way of life and essence of nomadic people, upbringing and education to the children of the world through comics, animated film, TV programs, additional contents and other related products as well as to create a national hero.


Bumbardai comic book won the first prize of International Manga Awards, which was organized by the Government of Japan in 2015, competing with 317 works of 46 countries.
