Modern Mongolian Literature Published in Czech Language

Ulaanbaatar, October 23, 2025 /MONTSAME/. To mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Czech Republic, the Embassy of Mongolia in Prague, in cooperation with the editorial board of “Plav” magazine and the Center for Mongolian Studies at Charles University, has published a special issue of Plav featuring modern Mongolian poetry and prose translated into Czech.
According to the Embassy of Mongolia to the Czech Republic, the works of prominent representatives of modern Mongolian literature, Damdinsuren Tsend, Norov Dalkhaa, Choinom Rinchen, Ulziitugs Luvsandorj, and Ayurzana Gun-Aajav, were translated into Czech with the contribution of professors, students, and Mongolists from the Center for Mongolian Studies at Charles University.
This publication enables Czech readers to enjoy
the works of Mongolian writers and poets in their native language for the
first time.
“Plav” magazine focuses on introducing foreign literary works that are not widely available in the Czech book market. The magazine distributes its issues to major public libraries across the Czech Republic, and its publications are also available for purchase online at www.svetovka.cz/archiv.
