Cooperation in Agriculture sector with Belgium discussed

/MONTSAME/ On February 26, Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry
Ch.Ulaan received Non-resident Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Mongolia
Marc Vinck.
In the beginning
of the meeting, the Agriculture Minister thanked Ambassador Marc Vinck for paying
attention to advancement of bilateral cooperation in the sphere of food and
agriculture and briefed the Ambassador on Mongolia’s policy in the sector.
The sides then
exchanged views on opportunities for cooperation in food processing and safety
and agreed to establish a cooperation mechanism in the sector
by developing joint plans and a memorandum of understanding on cooperation
between the Ministries of the two countries.
Moreover, Minister Ch.Ulaan welcomed the Ambassador’s proposal to employ a team of public and private sector specialists of Belgium in Mongolia in regard to the above mentioned matters.
